Software Research for HOA Boards and Managers Who Need Operational Answers
HOA Software Guide is an independent editorial site focused on the workflows and costs that determine whether community association software actually works after the sales demo — whether you run a volunteer self-managed board or a professional management company.
Why this site exists
HOA software pages often mix product marketing, user ratings, affiliate lists and outdated pricing without making the evidence clear. Our goal is to make the research status visible and give boards and managers a repeatable way to compare products.
What we publish
- Source-linked software profiles with visible check dates.
- Category guides for HOA accounting, dues and payments, violations, and board and resident portals.
- Pricing questions that include setup, per-unit costs, payment processing, add-ons and exit costs.
- A public 100-point rubric for future hands-on evaluations.
What we do not claim
Vendor-source research is not called hands-on testing. A demo is not presented as a completed board implementation. A score is not shown until every rubric criterion has evidence. Missing information remains missing rather than being replaced by a plausible estimate.
Corrections and vendor participation
Software companies can submit factual corrections and source links through the vendor submission form. Inclusion and corrections are free. Vendors cannot buy a score, ranking position or editorial conclusion.
